My Approach
I BLEND the Suzuki philosophy with music reading and theory to give students a balanced and enriching musical education. While Suzuki emphasizes learning by ear, just as children learn to speak, I introduce reading and theory early on as well, helping students develop both their listening skills and their ability to interpret music. This dual approach strengthens their overall musicianship and makes reading feel natural, not separate from their playing.
I ENCOURAGE daily listening to the Suzuki repertoire and other inspiring music, along with exposure to live performances. This helps students internalize phrasing, dynamics, and musical expression, while sparking their creativity and deepening their emotional connection to music.
In lessons, I EMPHASIZE beautiful tone, musical sensitivity, and technical precision, while keeping the atmosphere positive and encouraging.
Parental involvement is key to success. Parents attend lessons and support daily practice, creating a team-like environment. With consistent practice, gentle guidance, and family support, my goal is to inspire students to become confident, expressive musicians with a lifelong love of music.
